Active Albanians

Active Albanians is a 501(c)(3) public charity based in Coppell, Texas, recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt since October 2021 (EIN 87-1359248). It presents itself as a Texas-based Albanian-American nonprofit with activity centered on the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

The group's stated focus is connecting the Albanian community in DFW and across Texas. Its companion Facebook group, Active Albanians DFW, describes its purpose as connecting Albanians in the Dallas–Fort Worth area and all of Texas, while its Instagram account frames the work as a Texas nonprofit operating throughout the United States.

Much of the visible programming takes the form of in-person community and networking events. One Instagram invitation gathered members at 3 Nations Brewing in the DFW area for a community meetup, and the account's posts lean on community-building content tagged to Dallas.

A 2023 profile in NY Elite Press, "Active Albanians: Building a Brighter Future for the Community," described the group as having broadened its focus over time to address Albanian-American community needs, framing its role around community development and engagement rather than a single program track.

Public filings on ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer list the basic registration but do not yet show a detailed Form 990, and named officers or directors are not posted in the sources on file.
