Albanian American Community of Wisconsin

The Albanian American Community of Wisconsin (AACW) is a nonprofit group that works to bring together the Albanian community across Wisconsin. The organization describes itself on its Facebook page as a nonprofit that aims to integrate the Albanian community in the state, and it maintains a public presence under the AACW name.

Much of AACW's visible activity centers on cultural celebrations tied to the Albanian calendar. The Badger Herald reported that AACW would host Festa e Flamurit — Albanian Flag Day — on November 28, marking the anniversary of Albanian independence. The event was organized in coordination with the Albanian American Student Organization at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, which has helped connect Albanian students on campus with the wider community in the state.

That partnership with UW–Madison's student group points to AACW's role as a community anchor for Albanian families and students in the Madison area, hosting the kind of heritage events that pull together generations around shared holidays. Beyond Flag Day, the organization's public footprint is modest, and most of its outreach runs through its Facebook page rather than a standalone website.
