About Albanian American Relations Council

Area served:
New York City and the broader Albanian-American community in the United States

The Albanian American Relations Council (AARC) is a New York–based nonprofit working to connect Albanian-Americans and strengthen the community's voice in U.S. policy-making. Its office is at 400 Madison Avenue, Suite 15A, in Midtown Manhattan, and its work is presented at aarc.us.

AARC is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity under EIN 99-2177374, with IRS tax-exempt status granted in April 2025. ProPublica's Nonprofit Explorer classifies it as a human services–multipurpose organization, and Charity Navigator and GuideStar both list the New York office as its headquarters. As a newly recognized charity, it has not yet filed a public Form 990.

In its own words, AARC is "dedicated to promoting the common interests, values and ideals of the United States and the Albanian-American community," working through "collaboration, support, and lasting partnerships." The council says it represents Albanian-American interests at the federal, state, and local levels, positioning itself as both a community-building group and an advocacy voice.

Its most visible activity to date is the AARC Annual Gala 2025, scheduled for September 24, 2025 at Gotham Hall in Manhattan. The organization describes the gala as bringing together leaders from the Balkans and supporters from the U.S. Congress, reflecting the council's emphasis on diaspora engagement and political networking.

AARC should not be confused with the separately organized National Albanian American Council, which operates from a different New York address and is a distinct entity.
