Albanian American Student Organization at UW-Madison

The Albanian American Student Organization at UW–Madison is a registered student group at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, open to both Albanian and non-Albanian students. It describes itself in the university's student organization directory as a community dedicated to exploring, celebrating, and preserving Albanian culture, and to fostering cultural awareness, inclusivity, and mutual respect on campus.

The group went on hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic and resumed operations in fall 2023, as reported by The Badger Herald. In that coverage, then-president Jehona Zeneli said her goal was to build an inclusive space for Albanian students while educating non-Albanian peers about Albanian history and culture. As of April 2026, Ana Ballazhi is listed as president of the organization.

Activity centers on campus meetings and cultural events promoted through the group's Instagram account, along with outreach at UW–Madison's Student Organization Fair. Programming is focused on cultural education, identity, and community-building rather than a fixed slate of recurring service projects.

For Albanian and Albanian-American students in Madison, the organization serves as the main point of representation on campus, and for non-Albanian students it functions as an entry point to learning about Albania, its people, and its traditions.
