Kosovo Heritage Basketball Academy Inc

Kosovo Heritage Basketball Academy (KHBA) is a youth basketball program that runs training camps in Kosovo and is supported from Stamford, Connecticut as a program of the Stamford Peace Youth Foundation, a 501(c)(3) founded in 2008. The Foundation describes KHBA's mission as using basketball to "educate, empower, and inspire young people in Kosovo," building self-confidence and leadership alongside on-court skills.

On the ground, KHBA's work takes the form of multi-day camps for players ages 8 to 16, held across several cities in Kosovo with the support of the Kosovo Basketball Federation. One recent edition ran from July 29 to August 2, and a "mega training camp" organized by KHBA was placed under the patronage of the President of Kosovo, signaling national-level recognition for the program.

Leadership has roots in U.S. college basketball: a former University of Connecticut player, who founded Be Great Academy Training, is publicly identified as a co-founder of KHBA, with the academy described as training more than 400 players annually in Pristina.

KHBA's public-facing channel is the Instagram account @heritagebasketballacademy, which frames the work as "using basketball as a tool to build a community of leaders through coaching and mentorship in Kosovo" and posts camp registration details, coaching staff, and footage from sessions. The Stamford tie is administrative and philanthropic rather than programmatic — the camps themselves take place in Kosovo, while donors and supporters in Connecticut help fund the work through Stamford Peace Youth Foundation.
