Shoqata Dukagjini (Michigan)

Shoqata Dukagjini Michigan is a community association for Albanians from the Dukagjini region living in Michigan. In Albanian-language coverage and on its own pages, it also appears as Shoqata Atdhetare "Dukagjini" ne Miçhigan — a patriotic, heritage-based group rather than a general cultural club.

The association's public activity centers on bringing the Dukagjini diaspora together. Albanian-language outlet Zani i Veriut has documented its annual Pikniku i Veres (Summer Picnic) in Michigan, framed as a yearly gathering for families with roots in the Dukagjini area. Posts on the group's Facebook pages also mark Bajram with greetings to Albanian Muslims in Michigan, and note deaths and condolences within the community, giving the page a bulletin-board role alongside the events.

Much of what the association shares online is cultural memory: old photographs of Dukagjini, video material tied to the Kanuni i Lekë Dukagjinit, and Albanian-language commentary on Dukagjini towns and villages such as Shosh. It has also publicly backed a local Ekipi Dukagjini and community members involved in organizing a team.

The group has been active on Facebook since at least 2014–2015, when its New Year greeting for 2015 was posted. A formal founding year, officers, and any nonprofit registration are not stated in public sources, so the association is best understood through what it does in Michigan rather than a paper record.
