TVALB (FTAmarket LLC)

TVALB is an Albanian-language streaming and TV platform run by FTAmarket out of Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. It is a for-profit media company, not a nonprofit, and serves Albanian-speaking households across the United States and Canada with live TV, catch-up TV, and video on demand.

The service carries channels from major Albanian media providers, including DigitAlb, Tring, ArtMotion, TelKos, and Kujtesa, and distributes popular programming like Big Brother VIP Albania, Big Brother VIP Kosova, and Ferma VIP Albania to North American viewers. As of 2021, TVALB was described as the only Albanian streaming service licensed to broadcast DigitAlb channels in the U.S. and Canada.

FTAmarket has been providing media services to the Albanian community in the U.S. and Canada since 2002, and the TVALB platform itself was founded in 2006 to bring Albanian TV content to viewers living abroad. The company is operated by a team based in New York City.

The Bronx storefront at 2318 Arthur Ave sits in the heart of Bronx Little Italy, a neighborhood with a long-established Albanian presence. Customers can subscribe in person at the shop, which keeps regular weekday and Saturday hours, or sign up through the TVALB apps on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Subscription tiers include Basic, Premium, and a phone-only package, with support for multiple devices per household.

Within the Albanian-American media landscape, TVALB functions as the licensed U.S. pipeline for Albanian broadcast television, connecting diaspora viewers in cities and small towns across North America to channels and shows from Albania, Kosovo, and other Albanian-speaking regions.
