University of Michigan-Dearborn Albanian American Student Organization (AASO UMD)

The University of Michigan-Dearborn Albanian American Student Organization, known as AASO UMD, is a campus student group for Albanian-American students at UM-Dearborn. Its public-facing pages describe it as the Albanian American Student Organization for University of Michigan-Dearborn, and the university's Maize Pages directory lists AASO as a group that serves to create a cohesive Albanian community on campus and helps members learn about Albanian culture.

The group's footprint is the UM-Dearborn campus community in Dearborn, Michigan, rather than a citywide or statewide service area. Its activity centers on cultural education, community building among Albanian-American students, and general student engagement at the university.

Day-to-day, AASO UMD shows up most visibly on Instagram at @aaso.umd, where it promotes student events — including a Race for the Cure post — and shares campus updates with members. It sits alongside UM-Dearborn's other registered student organizations as the campus home for Albanian-American student life.

AASO UMD should not be confused with AASO Global, a separate, broader Albanian American Student Organization network. The Dearborn chapter is specifically a UM-Dearborn campus organization for students on that campus.
