Association of Albanian American Dual Language and Culture

The Association of Albanian American Dual Language and Culture (AADLC) is a community-based education organization serving Albanian-American families in Yonkers and the greater New York area. Its work centers on helping children of Albanian descent grow up fluent in both English and Albanian while staying connected to Albanian culture, history, and traditions.

AADLC describes itself as an organization of "two languages and parallel cultures," a framing that runs through its programming. The organization runs an Albanian school called Children of the Eagle, which is its main program. Through Children of the Eagle, AADLC offers Albanian language instruction along with lessons on Albanian culture and traditions for children in local Albanian-American families. The school operates as a supplementary community program rather than a replacement for regular schooling.

Its audience is concentrated in Yonkers and the surrounding New York metropolitan area, one of the largest Albanian-American population centers in the United States. Within that community, AADLC fills a specific niche: a parent- and community-facing school focused on heritage language and cultural continuity for the next generation.
